Surprisingly powerful and high quality tool June 19, 2010 Detritus Effluvium (Solanco, PA) The Dewalt Cordless Screwdriver has the quality you expect from a Dewalt product. The offer from Amazon to purchase it at a reasonable price was irresistible and I'm glad I got one. It has enough power to drive drywall screws into wood with a small pilot hole drilled first. It also has good battery life and Dewalt provides 2 battery packs and a smart charger. It works great at jobs like removing and re-installing all the screws from the back of a guitar amplifier's speaker cabinet. I can't justify spending the money on their full size cordless drills but this was a great price on a power tool that you will use for a large variety of tasks.
Excellent tool June 9, 2010 Bill (Rushville,In) I purchased this for use at work over a year ago. I work in maintenance at a factory and it gets alot of use. The batteries hold up really well and it has plenty of power for everything I've used it for. I liked it so well I bought another one for use at home! The only negative comment I have is that the forward/reverse button could be relocated as it is to easy to accidentally hit it while in use. All in all it's an excellent tool and I would highly recommend it.
Probably my most utilized tool May 24, 2010 Don M (Baltimore, MD USA) I had always been meaning to buy a cordless screwdriver but never got around to it. Finally I broke down and bought the Dewalt DW920K2 and boy am I glad I did. I use it constantly and it sure saves time and hand strain. I don't know what more I can say that everyone else hasn't already - it's worth every penny.
Badly outdated May 22, 2010 G. Thayer (California) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I used this tool for a couple of years, disassembling & installing electronic equipment at work, as well as household tasks. It was a big improvement over screwdrivers, that's for sure. About the time the batteries started failing, Bosch, Makita, Milwaukee, and Ryobi came out with their screwdrivers, and I went for the Bosch PS20. Man, what a difference. The smaller 12v Litheon drivers are much lighter, smaller, and at least as powerful as the DW, and the clutch mechanism is much more 'refined' The batteries also last considerably longer. The DW was good in its day, but has been totally outclassed by the competition.
Excellent Product and Warranty May 3, 2010 Jam'N (Seattle, WA USA) I purchased this item after I had to throw away a Craftsman cordless screwdriver that I owed for over a year but only used a few times. Each time those batteries would be dead when I needed to use it, slowing down my work time because I had to wait for it to charge. The batteries were not removable unless you dismantled it. This DeWalt was the best investment for a cordless tool I have made in a while. It is very heavy duty and it comes with two 7.2 volt Ni-Cad batteries that can easily be swapped so the cordless screwdriver is always ready for work. Plus it comes with a one year free service warranty; a three year limited warranty, and a 90 day money back guarantee. No craftsman tool can ever top that or outlast this cordless screwdriver.
