Product Description Cordless: Yes, Volts: 2.4, Rated RPM: 190, Torque (in./lbs.): 5 - 22, Variable Speed: No, Charger Included: Yes, Battery Included: Yes, Case Included: Yes
Amazon.com Review Milwaukee's cordless screwdriver is a handy tool with enough punch for most screwdriving applications, in a size small enough to fit easily in a tool belt without falling out or taking up a lot of space. The tilting handle offers a better grip in higher-torque situations, as well as allowing you to fit the tool in tight spaces. This single-speed version of the driver operates at 190 rpm, and has six clutch settings that allow from 5 to 22 inch-pounds of screw-tightening torque. This kit also comes with a 1/4-inch keyed chuck attachment for light drilling applications. While the tool has plenty of power for drilling small pilot holes--and even some countersinking--it's first and foremost a screwdriver, and not a great replacement for even a small handyman's cordless drill. The full kit includes the screwdriver, two 2.4-volt batteries, a one-hour charger, the 1/4-inch keyed chuck attachment, a four-piece bit set, and an impact-resistant carrying case that holds the lot. --Brian Trinen

Long Lasting December 3, 2008 Larry Foddrill (Monticello, Ind) I bought this over 17 years ago and i still use it today,
I finally hade to replace the batteries (Got from Amazon)I also bought a Porter-Cable and Makita drill kits at the same time, both them gave out years ago. If you don't like the quality of this I will be surprised. If it ever
does go bad, I hope they still make it because I will buy
another just like. Thank you Milwaukee for making such
great Tool.
Hasn't eaten its Wheaties September 15, 2008 David R. Norris (Duluth, GA) Frankly disappointed. Had a Black and Decker stick cordless, accidentally left in Biloxi while helping with hurricane cleanup. Bought this. Got one battery instead of two as advertised. Battery life is poor, and the tool is pretty wimpy, especially to wear the Milwaukee name. I love my other Milwaukee tools, but this one is not worthy of the title. Will barely drive a 1 1/4" sheetrock screw.
Great Cordless driver August 4, 2007 James H. Mortensen (Oxford, NY USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This driver is excellent for putting screws into hard to reach places. in fact, I was so happy with the original one I purchased 6 years ago I bought this one to have two to keep in different places--I have an electric train layout where I use the original one a lot. The only drawbacks are related to the batteries: you should have two, one in the charger one in the driver and they do reach the point where they no longer hold a charger. For this reason I've not given the product 5 stars.
A Tool I Can Count On February 26, 2004 Frank W Parke (Ivyland, PA United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
For more than ten years this tool has never failed to function perfectly. I like the forward and reverse rocker switch. When used by a "lefty" the switch is easily operated by the index finger. For right hand operation the thumb is used. Another great feature is the lock switch which prevents the tool from accidentially being turned on. For example, if you want to snug up a screw by hand you can lock the switch off. Locking the tool before placing it in your tool box prevents accidential turn on while in storage. The battery removes easily and seems to always run longer than I expect it would. Of course, in ten years I have replaced them from time to time. The adjustable torque is a great feature too. It's a great tool for electrical work, electronic equipment repair, and working on door locks, etc. I have not missed variable speed since a quick on/off works well. I often underestimate its power. The two speed model might be worth checking on if you want to drill with it. My two single speed units give me good control. These tools have seen a lot of service and I have never regretted the purchases!
Milwaukee 6540-1 2.4-Volt 190 RPM Screwdriver with Battery a May 25, 2003 FUZZY SKULL (NORTHPORT, NEW YORK USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Fantastic tool for the truck or auto tech, this is definetly a case were less is better, reffering to the voltage of the unit.It is very compact yet has a nice balance between power and it's ability to get into very tight spaces. The driver is very well constructed, so is the charger ,all of which are produced in Japan, which means you are getting quality. The package also includes a jabobs chuck and chuck key, 2 batteries, a high impact carrying case and some assortyed bits.Add a good bit selection for some real versatility .From the use I have had so far I can tell you the batteries are long lasting and the unit has been trouble free.I would recommend the offset as an assesory,it comes in very handy.Don't let the lower voltage fool you, this is a very effective tool.If your looking for a more powerful unit look to the Dewalt driver, but is is not as nearly as compact ,the price paid for more power.I personally have both of the drivers and each has it's place. This is a killer package from Milwaukee, and a must have addition to your tool chest, you will not be sorry with your choice.
