Great tool July 16, 2010 G Leftwich (Madison Heights, Michigan USA) I love this drill. It's got plenty of power and I don't need to stop in the middle of a large project and charge the battery.
Great drill for the price. Plenty of Power for home use! June 13, 2010 J. Cook (Texas) Pros:
Keyless chuck actually works, very well.
Lots of power. Plenty to drill through wood, metal, and masonry ( even if it's not listed for it ).
MUCH quieter than any other corded drill I have ever heard. Surprisingly quiet for how much power it has.
Bubble level, even though it's not listed on the box, really does help you drill level holes.
Nice grooved area on the back to apply forceful pressure with the hand not pulling the trigger.
DeWalt quality, and a 3 year warranty.
Cons:
Haven't found a single one yet. Nothing wrong with this drill, and I have been able to successfully use it in situations that require finesse.
If you are looking at a corded drill for cheaper than this ( I got it for fifty four dollars at H Depot ) don't buy it, get this one instead for a reliable and practical drill. Could easily be used in construction situations too. I hate battery powered drills because they never have a charge when you need them.
Great drill that takes a lot of abuse April 24, 2010 Ross Capdeville (San Francsico, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had this drill for 3 years now and it gets heavy use. I've built many projects with it, including a shed. It handles home tasks like assembling furniture easily. It drills through metal - I've drilled 1-1/8" holes in vehicle panels with this drill. You can't even get a 1-1/8" step bit in this chuck size, so I got an adapter. I operated the drill for about 10-15 seconds using a lot of oil on the bit. Then I let it rest a minute or two and kept at it. It didn't burn out. I also cut plenty smaller holes in metal in the 3/8" size. It will cut through some fairly thick metal without complaining.
I am very impressed because I have abused this thing and it just keeps going. Great investment.
Great drill. April 19, 2010 J. Chun (San Diego, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got it to replace a battery-powered one, because I got tired of charging it. I don't use a drill often, and the battery one was always out of its juice whenever I needed. I think this drill is powerful enough to practically everyone's needs. In fact, I often have a hard time adjusting the power when I need to make small and delicate holes. Depending on how hard you squeeze the trigger, you can certainly adjust the power, but you do need a steady hand to do so. Other than being too powerful for a small job, the drill is an excellent addition to any handy person's toolbox.
Get Drilled! August 19, 2009 T. Rodgers (N. California) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This drill is exactly what I was looking for. Plenty of power, good cord, good chuck that holds bits tight, bubble level. Corded drills have so much more power and SPEED, its great. Buy this one and you will be happy!!
