| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description When you require exact measuring, you reach for a caliper. But an accurate measurement is meaningless if you can't read it accurately. This caliper takes an essential tool into the 21st century with an extra-large LCD digital readout for exact internal and outside measurements accurate to .001". Instantly converts from SAE or Metric, the display can be zeroed at any point on the slide. Machine-grooved thumb-roll mechanism and position lock for sure adjustment. Hardened stainless steel shaft with depth-measurement probe, precision ground jaws. On-off switch with auto-off, two long-life batteries included (one extra).

Piece of junk May 25, 2010 Martin C Brown (Texas) Arrived with dead battery but package included a replacement. Unfortunately it was impossible to get an accurate measurement as the unit jumped around in 5 mm increments. Totally useless.
OK for home shop use, not good for professionals May 19, 2010 Phill Goldman I bought this to help me select wood stock and hardware from a selection of standard sizes. I trust it enough to do that, since accuracy is relative. But when testing unknown thicknesses the repeatbility of measurements from just this tool on a single sample was about hundreths of an inch. If that's what you need, then this inexpensive tool will work for you. If you're used to the 'good stuff' at work, then you'll be disappointed.
works, but low quality May 10, 2010 W. B. Shambley (Boston, MA) I'm used to the $100+ variety, I guess. The adjuster wheel feels sloppy. Battery cover pops off (dropping the battery) during use if you hit it the wrong way with your thumb. It seems to work accuracy/precision wise. You get what you pay for.
AVERAGE May 10, 2010 James E. Molle YOU GET WHAT AMOUNT $ YOU PAY FOR. I CALIBRATE CALIPERS AND MICROMETERS FOR A LIVING. FINE FOR HOME USE ,WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO RELY UPON AT WORK .
Perfect for the price March 27, 2010 W. Hughes (Seattle, WA) You've used calipers before? Then there are no surprises here. It's a good set for a good price. I can't verify the accuracy beyond a measuring tape.
